KazTransGas JSC and its Subsidiaries are awarded European Quality “Recognized Excellence” certificate from EFQM.

The ceremony of awarding the EFQM certificates “Recognized Excellence” to KazTransGas JSC and three subsidiaries of the National Operator, including Intergas Central Asia JSC, Amangeldy Gas LLP and KazTransGas Onimderi LLP was held today.

The EFQM certificates “Recognized Excellence” affirms commitment of the KazTransGas JSC group of companies to comply with the quality management standards, adopted in Europe.

The quality management system maturity level in these companies was evaluated by officially authorized experts of the National Partner EFQM – Kazakhstan Organization for Quality and Innovation Management. The performance of the National Operator and its Subsidiaries and Dependents was analyzed against the nine criteria methodology developed by the Fund, including: leadership; strategy; personnel, partnerships and resources; processes, products and services, results for consumers, results for personnel, results for society and key results.

KazTransGas was awarded the “Recognized Excellence” certificate from EFQM and Level 3 Excellence Model. Intergas Central Asia JSC received the EFQM “Recognized Excellence” certificate 4 stars (for contribution to development and improvement of the management system, modernization of business processes and enhancement of competitiveness). Amangeldy Gas LLP and KazTransGas Onimderi LLP received EFQM certificates 3 stars. It should be noted that another subsidiary company KazTransGas Aimak JSC was awarded the “Recognized Excellence” certificate 5 stars in February of 2017.

Traditionally, the business enterprises are awarded EFQM certificates, but in recent years the EFQM business excellence model has been actively employed by the public sector organizations. The external independent evaluation of EFQM allowed the awardees to take a look at their performance in a new way, learn their own strengths and assess the contingencies for improving management efficiency. The group of companies of KazTransGas JSC are the first Kazakhstani companies in the industry, are honored to receive such a high European award.

For information: EFQM Excellence Award (EEA, European Quality Award EFQM) is a prestigious European award for achieving excellence in business. It is at the top of the pyramid of many national and regional prizes of European countries in the field of quality. The contesting organizations establish a goal to constantly improve the quality of their performance, business processes and management system. The European Quality Management Fund was created more than 20 years ago by the merger of 14 CEOs from leading European enterprises, including AB Electrolux, British Telecommunications plc, Bull, Ciba-Geigy AG, C. Olivetti & C. SpA, Dassault Aviation, Fiat Auto SpA, KLM , Nestlé, Philips, Renault, Robert Bosch, Sulzer AG, Volkswagen with the aim of creating a management tool that enhances the competitiveness of European organizations. This initiative was supported by the European Commission within the European Quality Promotion Policy. So the EFQM Excellence Model was developed. The EFQM Excellence Model is the most popular quality tool in Europe, used in more than 30,000 organizations to improve productivity. It allows companies to carry out self-assessment and take the necessary measures. 84% of EFQM members confirm that the Model really helps to improve the organization. The headquarters of the fund is based in Brussel. The certificate is valid for 2 years. The organizer and founder of the award is the European Fund for Quality Management (European Fund for Quality Management, EFQM). The Fund is a partnership of more than 750 different European organizations, each of which seeks to increase efficiency and achieve excellence in business. In late 2001, EFQM experts developed a system for recognizing the achievements of organizations in the field of quality, regardless of their size, turnover and scope of activities – Levels of Excellence. The European quality award is the highest level of the EFQM Excellence Levels.
