About the Company

BEINEU-SHYMKENT GAS PIPELINE Limited Liability Partnership was established on January 18, 2011 in Almaty with the purpose of implementation of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China for construction and operation of Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent main gas pipeline. The company’s participants are QazaqGaz NC JSC – 50% and Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline Company Limited – 50%.

Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline is one of the leading strategic projects implemented by the Republic of Kazakhstan and the People’s Republic of China to expand cooperation in the energy sector. Initially, it was promoted as a project aimed at improving the lives of the population of Kazakhstan, in order to ensure the gas supplies from the north and west of the country to the south and east, solving the problems of gas infrastructure development of the areas along the pipeline route and the shortage of natural gas in the southern regions. The export of gas resources from the west of Kazakhstan to China started since 2017, which contributed to development and strengthening of energy cooperation between the two countries, ensuring the well-being of the population and further strengthening the strategic importance of the energy security of China and Kazakhstan.
