Chairman of KazMunayGas NC JSC, Alik Aidarbayev, held a meeting of Operation Headquarters

Taking into consideration the state of emergency and realizing the responsibility to its employees and all concerned parties, as well as following the principles of openness and transparency, KazMunayGas NC JSC (hereinafter – KMG, Company) reports on the measures being taken to prevent the spread of coronaviral infection.

A regular KMG operation headquarters meeting under the chairmanship of Alik Aidarbayev was held on March 23^rd.

During the meeting, the head of KMG instructed all subsidiary and subordinate companies to strengthen the sanitary-epidemiological regime for the prevention of coronaviral infection. We would like to remind that earlier the Company has already taken a set of measures to ensure maximum safety for the employees of KMG group of companies.

In addition, during the meeting of the operation headquarters it was instructed to inform all production personnel of SSC about measures taken by the state to support the population in the state of emergency. In order to prevent food shortage at production facilities, it was also instructed to take special control of the accounting and purchase of food products.

“Providing work for tens of thousands of people and being responsible for the economic development of the industry, we were among the first to support these measures and identify three priorities. The first is caring for our employees and their families. We are aimed at ensuring that employees of KazMunayGas group of companies and contracting organizations always leave their jobs healthy and unharmed. The second, ensuring the continuity of the production process and the safety of production facilities. The third, comprehensive cooperation with state bodies and akimats in responding, informing and coordinating efforts to prevent the spread of coronaviral infection”, – pointed out A. Aidarbayev.

Currently 32 employees of KMG group of companies are in quarantine, among which 2 are under stationary surveillance in Atyrau and Pavlodar, the rest 30 employees are in home quarantine in Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Aktau, Aktobe, Atyrau, Pavlodar, Shymkent. All these employees arrived from foreign countries and immediately upon arrival in Kazakhstan were placed to quarantine.

We also would like to inform you that 8 KMG employees (2 employees of the central office of KazMunayGas NC JSC and 6 employees of subsidiaries) have undergone a two weeks isolation and currently are out of quarantine, the test results are negative.

As of March 24, 2020, there are no confirmed cases of coronaviral infection among KMG employees registered.

The operation headquarters receives daily reports on COVID-19 and ongoing preventive measures from all subsidiary companies.
