A. Aidarbayev's address to employees
Dear colleagues!
Let me congratulate you with spring holiday – Nauryz meyramy! Nauryz marks the beginning of a new year, new beginnings; first of all it is a holiday of kindness and creation, love and harmony. I wish every house a warm, cozy and hospitable atmosphere.
During these holidays, our country, like the whole world, have faced an unknown and unpresented challenge of our generation – the pandemic of coronavirus infection. All continents, countries and people are equal in front of this virus. Significant decline in oil prices and instability in international finance markets aggravate the situation.
The Government of Kazakhstan is taking unprecedented and radical steps aimed at nonproliferation of a disease. Undoubtedly, these measures are timely and necessary. Providing jobs for tens of thousands of people and responsible for the economic development of the industry, we were among the first to support these measures and identify three priorities:
The first is caring for our employees and their families. We are aimed at ensuring that employees of the KazMunayGas group of companies and contracting organizations always leave their workplace healthy and unharmed.
Second is ensuring the continuity of the production process and the safety of production facilities.
Third is full cooperation with government bodies and akimats in response to requests, information and efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
Thereby, I signed orders and gave instructions to all heads of subsidiaries and affiliates to strengthen preventive measures. Crisis management operational headquarters have been activated across the entire group of companies and an algorithm has been developed for responding to the epidemic of coronavirus infection. All production facilities will be provided with the necessary resources for their smooth functioning; issues related to the supply of goods, work and services are under strict control; coordination with all contracting and service companies has been strengthened.
In these difficult days for the whole country, I want to urge you, my colleagues and your loved ones, to show maximum consciousness, patience and understanding. I urge each of you to comply with all the requirements of our Government, carefully monitor your health and strictly observe preventive recommendations.
The company will do its best to protect you. For my part, I also count on you and I am sure that each of you will take responsibility for your safety, the safety of your families, our company and the country.
I am convinced that together we will overcome the current difficulties and become stronger.
