GAS WORKERS IN KAZAKHSTAN PARTICIPATED IN ENVIRONMENTAL ACTION #BIRGE #TAZAQAZAQSTAN
Nur-Sultan. August 5, 2019. Employees of National Gas Operator KazTransGas JSC participated in environmental action common to the whole Republic #Birge #TazaQazaqstan.
More than 200 employees of the country’s main gas company, members of Youth Counsel of the Group of companies KazTransGas JSC took a part in the voluntary Saturday work dedicated to environment protection.
We recall that in Kazakhstan the Environmental challenge #Birge #TazaQazaqstan organized by Ministry of ecology, geology and natural resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan begins gaining in popularity. Its main purpose is to turn Kazakhstani attention to environmental problems and problems related to preservation of natural resources of the country.
In Nur-Sultan, young employees of gas industry together with citizens of capital, volunteers, community leaders and environmental activists have conducted cleaning of Mybalyk lake. Over few hours, the volunteers collected more than 9 tons of garbage. The sections along the river Big Almatinka were cleaned and brought to order between Tole-bi Street and Raiymbek Avenue.
As is noted by Madi Sandybay, a member of the Youth Council of the group of companies of KazTransGas JSC, the young people working in the company were very enthusiastic about the idea of conducting an environmental action.
“This is a wonderful challenge, so we immediately supported the idea of participating in an environmental cleanup. It is our responsibility, our duty to protect the native nature, to maintain the environment in the main city of Kazakhstan. Look at the volume of garbage we removed today. Moreover, the main its part is plastic bottles and bags. And yet, they can rest there for centuries. I think that in the very near future, Kazakhstan needs to completely abandon plastic in everyday life, because it has already become a world practice. Transition to use of environmentally-friendly materials will be a significant step in protecting nature of our country,” said Madi Sandybay.
