The launch of the compressor station "Korkyt Ata»: MG "Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent" came to full capacity.

The commissioning of an important gas transportation system facility was carried out within the framework of the President’s instructions on stable gas supply to the southern regions of the country.

With the beginning of the work of the Korkyt Ata compressor station, the implementation of the largest investment project to increase the throughput capacity of Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent from 10 billion m3/year to 15 billion m3/year was completed. At the same time, 5 billion m3 of gas will fully cover the needs for blue fuel in the southern regions of the country, and 10 billion m3 will be exported to China. The station is located near the village of Aksuat of Kazaly district of Kyzylorda region.

Now, in the framework of implementation of the investment along the gas pipeline “Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent” on the territories of Turkestan and Kyzylorda regions has three compressor stations: CS “Aral” – 518-th kilometer, CS “Korkyt Ata” – 725-th kilometer and the CS Turkestan – 1230-th kilometer of the pipeline, two of which were delivered at the end of last year.

CS “Korkyt Ata” became the third high-tech station, which started working in the last two months, built in record time and financed by the funds of JSC”KazTransGas”.

The Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline is the largest pipeline project in the history of independent Kazakhstan and is intended to play an important role in improving the energy security of the state. Thanks to the construction of Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent, Kazakhstan managed to solve three important tasks – to ensure stable gas supplies to the South, to create a unified system of gas transportation of the country and to increase the export of Kazakh gas to foreign markets.
