Gas processing facility commissioned in Aktobe region.

On the eve of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan a modern gas processing facility was commissioned at the “Kozhasai” field in Baiganinsky district of Aktobe region. The head of state online started operation of a large-scale plant during a traditional teleconference dedicated to the Day of the country’s industrialization.

The gas processing facility of Gas Processing Company LLP will allow efficiently use the raw material base, increase the processing of associated petroleum gas and significantly reduce emissions into the atmosphere of pollutants and other substances. The project will improve the environmental situation in the region, make a significant contribution to the economic well-being of the region.

“This is a very happy event for the residents of the region. Kazakhstan is a country that produces oil and gas, so the most important task for us is to provide the community with gas. Now we are going to build a gas pipeline “Saryarka” and this is all done in order to improve the people’s welfare. I congratulate you on a happy event of production launching. The investment project has been implemented as a part of the state policy on energy and environmental safety, and for the purpose to fill the domestic market with commercial and liquefied gas.

“Today we have commissioned one of the largest industrial projects of gas industry in the country. The plant is equipped with the latest technology that meets the modern demands. This plays an important role in replenishing a resource base of the country with commercial gas. The national operator KazTransGas JSC has built all necessary infrastructure facilities for transporting gas to domestic and foreign markets”, told Bulat Saktaganov Project Manager of Gas Processing Company LLP.

Private investments in the amount of 42 billion tenge were made in this project. The gas processing facility with a capacity of 40 thousand cubic meters per hour provides processing of associated gas and produces 226 million m3 of marketable gas per year, 37 thousand tons of propane-butane mixture, 5.4 thousand tons of gas condensate, 10.5 thousand tons of granulated sulfur. Seventy percent of gas processing facility production will be exported abroad through Bukhara-Ural gas pipeline.

“The new enterprise plays an important role in improving the ecology of the region. At the same time, it is the only gas processing plant in Kazakhstan, which has been built at the expense of private investment. During the period of its construction and operation, over 1500 workplaces were created, including more than 250 of permanent workplaces. It should be noted that this export-oriented facility – 70% of products will be supplied to foreign markets”, said Berdybek Saparbayev, Akim of Aktobe region.

It is planned that the new facility within 7 years will replenish the regional and republican budget with tax revenues in the amount of more than 10 billion tenge. Products will be supplied to the domestic market, as well as exported to the neighboring countries and far abroad.
