Сompressor station "Turkestan" began to work оn the main gas pipeline "Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent".

National operator JSC “KazTransGas” commissioned compressor station “Turkestan”. The construction was implemented as part of an investment project to increase the capacity of the Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline from 10 billion m3/year to 15 billion m3/year.

In a solemn ceremony of launching of the station was attended by the Governor of the Turkestan region Zhanseit Tuymebayev and the General Director of JSC “INTERGAS Central Asia” Valentin Hwang.

As noted by the Governor of the Turkestan region Zhanseit Tuymebayev, commissioning of the compressor station “Turkistan” is an important event for the region. The work of the new gas infrastructure facility is of great importance for the social and economic development of the region. Gas consumption in the Turkestan region is about 3 billion cubic meters of gas per year. Now the supply of blue fuel will be guaranteed uninterrupted, due to the fact that gas workers have built a unique innovative facility. Another important component is the creation of new jobs for local residents – said Janseit Tuimebayev.

High-tech compressor station “Turkestan” is one of the three built by JSC “KazTransGas” this year, in the territories of Turkestan and Kyzylorda regions along the gas pipeline “Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent”. Earlier, on the eve of the day of the First President of Kazakhstan, the national gas operator put into operation the CS “Aral”.

The work of the new stations will allow the National operator in the field of gas and gas supply to ensure maximum reliability of the process of uninterrupted gas transportation to the southern regions of Kazakhstan to cover the annually growing needs, especially during peak loads in the heating season. Today, the demand of the South of the Republic for blue fuel is about 5 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

At the same time, the volume of gas supply to the Trans – Asian main gas pipeline “Central Asia-China” is significantly increasing, which will increase Kazakhstan’s gas exports to China.

The innovative equipment used in the construction of compressor stations, as well as a set of auxiliary systems, will be able to ensure safe and technologically uninterrupted gas transportation during the entire period of operation of the main gas pipeline.

For reference: the Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas Pipeline is the largest pipeline project in the history of independent Kazakhstan and is intended to play an important role in improving the energy security of the state. Thanks to the construction of Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent, Kazakhstan managed to solve 3 important tasks – to ensure stable gas supplies to the South, to create a unified system of gas transportation of the country and to increase the export of Kazakh gas to foreign markets.
