KazTransGas congratulated its staff on Constitution Day and professional holiday.
On the eve of Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Day of oil and gas workers of the country, a solemn meeting was held in the central office of KazTransGas JSC. Deputy Chairman of the Board for Gas Transportation and Marketing of NC KazMunayGas JSC, Chairman of Directors Board of KazTransGas JSC Kairat Sharipbayev congratulated the staff of National Operator.
In his speech, he noted that Constitution Day is one of the main state holidays, since the Constitution is the main law of our country. This document laid foundation for beginning of Independent Kazakhstan establishment. The Constitution for centuries consolidated our core values - independence, peace and stability, becoming the legal foundation for successful development.
Congratulating colleagues on the professional holiday, Kazakhstan Oil and Gas Workers Day, Kairat Sharipbayev reminded that this year the holiday coincides with the 60th anniversary of the national gas industry.
“A lot has been done, but great achievements are still ahead of us! We continue the work of our senior colleagues – we are bringing warmth and comfort in homes of our fellow countrymen and ensuring the energy security of the country. Today Kazakhstan’s gas industry is deservedly called – the driver of oil and gas sector. For many years in a row the gas workers have shown both production and financial highest figures” said Kairat Sharipbayev.
He also noted that a few years ago, on the crest of financial crisis, the gas industry predicted the worst scenarios for development. However, as it turned out, the crisis gave a new impetus and opened new directions for the rise of gas industry.
One of the important steps in the development of Kazakhstan’s gas industry was the beginning of domestic gas export to China. Now agreement on supply of 10 billion cubic meters of gas per annum to PRC is being prepared for signing.
Kairat Sharipbayev also noted that the international agency Fitch Ratings raised the long-term ratings of KazTransGas JSC and its subsidiaries from “BB +” to “BBB-” having changed the rating from negative to stable.
Some results of activities for the first half of 2018 were also summed up. As Kairat Sharipbayev pointed out, gas workers this year already broke a new record.
“KazTransGaz received a consolidated net profit of 83 billion tenge, which is 39 billion tenge or 88% higher than the same period of the last year. This means that KazTransGas for the first half-year has replenished the country’s budget by more than 38 billion tenge in taxes and other payments. Such high results have been achieved due to the increased volumes of gas sales – 13.7 billion cubic meters. This is 41% higher than the same period last year. Gas export is also growing. At the same time, the domestic gas industry has huge potential and opportunities for further development”, said Kairat Sharipbaev.
He noted that serious work is currently underway to change the situation, in terms of use of the associated gas produced in oil and gas fields. It will be more promising and profitable to use this gas instead of re-injection into the seams to provide domestic market and export supplies.
Summing up, Kairat Sharipbayev made an emphasis that all the achievements of the company have become possible owing to its employees, their professionalism and experience. “The main goal of our work is well-being of the people of Kazakhstan. It is the understanding of this fact that allows our staff to remain a united and friendly family and this is the guarantee of the future of KazTransGas group of companies.
On this solemn day, I express my gratitude to everyone for the high professionalism, for your sincere attitude to the business, for your devotion, for your diligence and competence” – said Kairat Sharipbaev.
This year, 164 especially distinguished employees of the group of companies of National Operator KazTransGas JSC were awarded departmental rewards, medals and certificates of honor.
