KazTransGas JSC is successfully completing the heating season of 2017-2018.

The heating season of 2017-2018 is completing in Kazakhstan. For this period the National Operator, KazTransGas JSC, ensured normal operation of all facilities of gas transportation infrastructure and continuous supply of blue-sky fuel to internal market of the country.

Year by year the consumption volume of commercial gas at internal market is increasing.  If during winter period of 2016-2017 it made 9 552 bln. cbm. of gas, then during this heating season it already made 10,1 bln. cbm., the increase made 6%.

In spite of the hard autumn-winter period, 19 thousand main gas pipelines, 48 thousand kilometers of gas pipelines and distribution networks, providing more than 8 million Kazakhstan people with blue-sky fuel, continuously operated.   This is approximately 900 thous.apartments, 870 thous.private residences, more than 40 thous.public utility and about 3 thous.industrial enterprises.  In 2017 approximately 73 thousand consumers or 360 thousand citizens connected to blue-sky fuel.

Nevertheless the gas supply shortages were observed in some settlements of the South during peak load periods in spite of stable and reliable supplies of blue-sky fuel on the part of the National Operator.   Gas shortages were observed at small networks, which are under management of private companies, which connected to their networks the maximum value of consumers, which aggregate consumption exceeded the throughput capacity of low pressure gas pipelines.

Following the results of heating season, the indebtedness of major enterprises, HPP, legal entities and individuals remains as the problematic issue for KazTransGas JSC.  As of today the debit indebtedness to company makes approximately 29 bln.KZT.   This money which is necessary for modernization of gas infrastructure, preparation to the next heating season.

KazTransGas JSC provides the country with domestic gas, having rejected the import supplies.   The company managed to achieve such result due to renovation of all gas distribution system of Kazakhstan for the last few years.  The implementation of the most important investment projects, one of which is Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent main gas pipeline, allowed to avoid the dependence on import gas.   All western fields and gas storages are connected to this main pipeline that allows diversifying the route lines of gas and completely provide the south of the country with gas.

KazTransGas JSC (included to KazMunayGas NC JSC) is a main gas-energy and gas transportation company of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representing the interests of the government both at domestic and foreign gas market.
