The Prime Minister inspected Karaozek compressor station.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytzgan Sagintayev visited Karaozek compressor station as a part of working trip to Kyzylorda oblast.
Krymbek Kusherbayev akim of Kyzylorda oblast accompanied government delegation while visiting the Karaozek compressor station, including Timur Suleimenov Minister of National Economy, Zhenis Kasymbek Minister for Investments and Development, Dauren Abayev Information and Communications Minister and Magzum Mirzagaliyev Deputy Energy Minister.
The Government Head was reported that National operator KazTransGas JSC had commissioned the facility in July last year. The compressor station is one of the key gas transportation facilities of the country, which steadily supplies all South regions even in pick loads period. In addition, the station provides transportation of Kazakhstan gas for export to China.
Kanat Kurmanaliev First Deputy General Director of KazTransGas JSC noted that during construction of the Karaozek compressor station the future gasification of Astana, as well as the central and northern regions was taken into account.
In turn, speaking about the station’s capabilities, Mukhatay Shanbatyrov First Deputy General Director of Intergas Central Asia JSC said that its capacity was 16 billion cubic meters of gas per year. At the moment, the station allows to increase the throughput volume of Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent main gas pipeline up to 1140 thous. cubic meters per hour. The main element of the station is availability of 3 gas turbine units “Solar Turbines” which are designed for the most difficult operation modes.
While inspecting the compressor station, Prime Minister visited Dispatch Center and other infrastructure facilities. Bakytzhan Sagintayev also acquainted with the plan for future construction of Saryarka main gas pipeline from Karaozek station to Astana.
