First methane fuel filling station was commissioned in Aktobe.

Opening of the first NGV refueling compressor station for refueling with compressed methane was carried out in Aktobe.

Project was implemented by the National Operator – KazTransGas JSC within the framework of the program on transfer of vehicles to compressed natural gas in the Aktobe oblast.

Agreement on cooperation in implementation of this project was signed between Akimat of the Aktobe oblast and KazTransGas JSC in 2015. The national gas operator carries out a huge work in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the Concept on transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Green Economy approved by the Decree of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 30, 2013.

The purpose of this document is improvement of ecology by transferring vehicles to a more environmentally friendly and economical type of motor fuel, in place of traditional types fuel for vehicles such as gasoline or diesel.

Taking into account the experience in construction and operation of NGV refueling compressor stations, the subsidiary of the KazTransGas JSC – KazTransGas Onimderi LLP was acted as the unified operator for the implementation of the NGV refueling compressor station project in the Aktobe oblast.

The main consumers of compressed gas will be bus fleets, private passenger transport, cargo-carrying and light vehicles of regional branches of subsidiaries of the KazTransGas JSC, as well as private vehicles. Operator – KazTransGas Onimderi LLP has carried out construction of the stations synchronized with the creation of bus fleets on compressed natural gas.

As it was noted by Iliyas Ispanov, Akim of Aktobe, this project is a very important cooperation of the gas company and city authorities: KazTransGas Onimderi LLP has constructed the station, for which the Akimat has allocated land, said Iliyas Ispanov. – An agreement was signed, according to which the Akimat will carry out the purchase of buses. All this is aimed at settlement of issues simultaneously in several directions – protection of ecology of the city, pricing, availability of fuel. In addition, a reliable passenger flow will be fully provided, and conditions of transportation will be improved. In the future, we will continue to construct such modern and safe fuel filling stations, which will have stable prices, in the city.
