50% share of the KazRosGas LLP transferred to the trust management of KazTransGas JSC.

JSC «NC “KazMunayGas” (KMG) decided to transfer to the trust management of JSC “KazTransGas” (KTG) 50% stake in LLP “KazRosGas”. The Board of JSC NC “KazMunayGas” on June 18, 2015 made the relevant decision.

KazTransGas JSC – as the national operator of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply, will manage the activities of the joint venture within a single approach to gas supply of the country.

KazRosGas LLP is a partnership formed on a parity basis by the national company JSC NC KazMunayGas and JSC Gazprom, established for the effective implementation of the provisions of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Russian Federation on cooperation in the gas industry dated November 28, 2001.

The main functions of the company are: carrying out operations with Kazakhstan natural gas, including marketing, processing, transportation, sale of gas and its products in the domestic and foreign markets.

Activity of The KazRosGaz company is connected with utilization of the gas extracted on Karachaganak oil and gas condensate field – one of the largest in the world. The field development is held by “Karachaganakpetrolium B. V.”.

For reference: In 2014 KazRosGas LLP accepted and provided processing of crude gas of Karachaganak field on capacities of the Orenburg gas chemical complex in the volume of 8 594 million cubic meters. The volume of gas supplies to consumers of the domestic market of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2014 amounted to 5,914 million cubic meters.

KazTransGas JSC is the national operator of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply. The group of JSC “KazTransGas” includes extracting, transporting and selling gas and products of its processing enterprises and organizations.
