CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF QAZAQGAZ SANZHAR ZHARKESHOV VISITED ATYRAU REGION ON A WORKING TRIP

Atyrau — Chairman of the Board of QazaqGaz Sanzhar Zharkeshov and supervising top managers of the company visited Atyrau region on a working trip. The main purpose of the visit is to get acquainted with the state of the gas transmission system and main gas pipelines.

The head of the national company visited Tengizchevroil facilities. In particular, he visited the joint production management center, which manages the production process, a kind of “heart” of the Tengiz field. The Chairman of the Management Board also got acquainted with the Installation of an integrated Gas Treatment Complex Technological Line (KTL). Sanzhar Zharkeshov completed the tour of TCO facilities by visiting the shift camp where Tengiz workers live.

Sanzhar Zharkeshov checked the operation of the Kulsary compressor station, which has 8 gas pumping units in operation. The compressor station consists of five turbocharger workshops. To date, the Kulsary compressor station is in critical condition and needs modernization. Turbocharger workshops 1, 2, 3, 5 – decommissioned.

During his trip, Chairman of the Board of “QazaqGaz” Sanzhar Zharkeshov was informed about the construction of a new gas processing plant with a capacity of 1 billion m3. It is expected that the project will give impetus to the development of the gas processing industry and will expand the resource base of the domestic market of the country. Thanks to the launch of the facility, the region will be provided with new jobs.

At a meeting with the management of NCOC during a visit to the facilities of the Bolashak plant in Karabatan, the issue of increasing the resource base of commercial gas was discussed.  These measures are provided for in the framework of a Comprehensive plan for the Development of the gas industry. Recall that to date, the document has been finalized and agreed with government agencies.

“One of the most important tasks assigned by the President of the country to the national company “QazaqGaz” is the uninterrupted supply of gas to the population, the growth of the resource base in the gas industry to eliminate future shortages. We have recently presented a new vision for the development of QazaqGaz and outlined key priorities. The company plans to reconstruct the gas transmission systems of the western region of the country. To solve all the problems, a comprehensive development of the gas industry strategy is required. This work will require the consolidation of efforts of all participants in the gas supply market, including multinational companies, subsoil users involved in the projects of the Kashagan, Tengiz, Karachaganak, Zhanazhol and others fields,” Sanzhar Zharkeshov said.
