Recall that this is the second working trip of the head of the National Gas Operator after a visit to the West Kazakhstan region.
It should be noted that the southern regions of the country, due to the large population density, are the main consumers of natural gas. On the eve of the long-awaited blue fuel was supplied to 22 settlements in six districts of the Turkestan region.
Safe and uninterrupted gas supply is provided by KazTransGas Aimak JSC, a subsidiary of NC QazaqGaz JSC. The gas is supplied from the Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent main gas pipeline.
Further gasification of the region was discussed during a meeting with Akim of Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev. In a conversation with the head of the region, topical issues of gasification were touched upon, taking into account the appeals of the population. The problem of gas supply of the southern region lasted 10 years and remained unresolved. This spring, JSC “NC “QazaqGaz” solved a long-standing problem – about 60 thousand people got access to gas. The new management of the company is also determined to continue to promptly solve the problems of gasification of the population of Kazakhstan.
The main difficulties in the gasification process are substandard construction of gas infrastructure and non–compliance with construction standards by private contractors. In addition, difficulties arise when transferring facilities to the gas company’s balance sheet, since they do not meet the necessary requirements and safety standards, and the costs of their further operation are not taken into account. As noted by Sanzhar Zharkeshov, all these issues have been taken under special control and solutions are being worked out.
The head of the National Gas Company stressed that the country’s gas needs are steadily growing and the industry may face crisis phenomena in the coming years. “According to the instruction of the Head of State, the provision of gas to the domestic market of the country is a priority for the company. The Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent main gas pipeline is the largest pipeline project in the history of independent Kazakhstan and is intended to play an important role in improving the energy security of the state. To ensure uninterrupted gas supply, it is necessary to build the second line of the Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent gas pipeline with a capacity of more than 10 billion m3. Considering that at the moment the gas pipeline is operating at maximum capacity,” said the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz.
As part of the gas supply for 22 settlements of the Turkestan region, the first production facility in the program of the working trip of the Chairman of the Board of JSC NC QazaqGaz was the Turkestan compressor station. According to Kanat Kurmanaliev, First Deputy General Director, Head of the Beineu-Shymkent Gas Pipeline LLP, the construction of the station was implemented as part of an investment project to increase the capacity of the Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline from 10 billion m3/year to 15 billion m3/year. Its work makes it possible to ensure maximum reliability of the process of uninterrupted gas transportation to the southern regions of Kazakhstan to cover the growing needs every year, especially during peak loads on the heating season. The next point of the trip was to get acquainted with the work of the Akbulak linear Production Department, which monitors the operation of compressor stations and gas distribution systems. One of the strategic objects is the gas measuring station “Akbulak”. The capacity of the station is 15.8 billion m3/year. The capacity of the station has been increased to ensure stable gas supply to the southern regions.Also, the head of the National Company visited the Training and Course Plant of JSC “Intergas Central Asia”. This is a unique and the only specialized educational institution in the republic for training, retraining, advanced training of employees and specialists involved in the transportation of natural gas and the operation of main gas pipelines. This facility has a production site with appropriate equipment and stands, where teachers with extensive practical experience conduct training in 27 working specialties. Further, the work of the compressor station CS-4 “Kulan” threads “From”the main gas pipeline “Kazakhstan-China”, which is an integral part of the gas pipeline “Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan-China” with a total length of more than 7,500 km, was presented. The starting point of the gas pipeline is the oil and gas fields of Turkmenistan, the end point is the southern provinces of the People’s Republic of China. The launch of the station made it possible to increase the capacity of the “C” line to 20 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The compressor station is equipped with innovative equipment from the world’s leading manufacturers of gas turbine and compressor equipment of Rolls-Royce and General Electric companies. Another object of the visit was the Amangeldy group of gas fields – the main object of the resource base of JSC NC QazaqGaz. Being a subsidiary of the National Company, Amangeldy Gas LLP, according to the current contract, conducts exploration and produces hydrocarbons within the contract territory at the fields of Amangeldy, Airakty, Anabay, Zharkum, Kumyrly, Ucharal-Ucharal Severny, Kempirtobe and the sections Barkhannaya-Sultankuduk, Kumyrly-Koskuduk. The capacity of the Amangeldy gas processing plant is 700 million m3 of crude gas per year. Gas production in 2021 amounted to 278 million m3.
