Young gas industry specialists were dedicated into the profession

On the eve of the professional holiday of the Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day, KazTransGas JSC held the traditional event – the dedication into gas workers.
Young workers, more recently former students, were preparing for the solemn ceremony practically all over Kazakhstan, since branches and subsidiaries of KazTransGas JSC operate in 12 regions of the country. By the holiday date, the total number of hired young specialists was 145 people. These include technicians and mechanics, sales and gas supply service engineers, emergency dispatchers and gas distribution station operators.
Alken Kuanysh, the young specialist, who works as a mechanic-repairman of the 3rd grade in Amangeldi Gas LLP, said that his childhood dream came true. “I always wanted to work in real production. For my school years I loved to study in the labor class, studied how various machines operate. I read a lot of technical literature. Now I became a gas worker, although it seemed unrealistic. Our camp is located among the steppes, far from settlements. However the life is always humming with activity there, real professionals work there, who, I hope, will help me in the future to become a demanded, highly qualified specialist”, says Alken Kuanysh.
In Nur-Sultan, 16 young specialists have joined the ranks of gas workers. For the capital branch, which opened quite recently, as part of the gasification of Nur-Sultan, this has become a real event.
According to Dastan Baitursyn, Head of Instrumentation and Automation Service of the Emergency Response Center of the capital branch, now the gas workers have a very responsible period. “We are preparing all gas supply systems in Nur-Sultan for the heating season and continue to connect new consumers. Last season, residents of Zheleznodorozhny and Koktal-2 residential areas of the capital, as well as parts of Agrogorodok, got the opportunity to connect to the gas. Now, the laying of networks of the 2nd phase is being performed in Interntsionalny, Michurino and Kuigenzhar residential areas by the order of KazTransGas Aimak JSC, – reported Dastan Baitursyn.
Special attention is paid to young personnel in the national gas operator companies group. Various options and forms of training are offered annually for advanced training. Professional skills competitions, sports competitions and amateur performances are arranged on an ongoing basis. The Youth Affairs Council functions actively in all regions. After all, the efficiency of the work of newly arrived employees, their establishing in the profession at the first stages depends largely on the attitude of already established professionals towards them, their willingness to become mentors, support, share skills and experience gained over the years.
According to Madi Sandybai, Head of the Youth Wing of Gas Workers, to be a specialist in the gas industry is a great responsibility. “Work in the oil and industry places higher demands on a person, especially a specialist. High professionalism and technical skills are required. Warmth and comfort in homes of Kazakhstan people, activities of many enterprises and industries depends on our work. In addition, now the gas industry is being actively digitalized, innovative technologies are being introduced. Therefore, the inflow of new ambitious specialists, who are experts in the most advanced technologies is needed”, says Madi Sandybai.
In general, KazTransGas operates the largest gas trunkline network in Kazakhstan with the total length of more than 20 thousand km and gas distribution networks with the length of more than 56 thous. km. All this huge economy operates around the clock, in hot and cold weather, in difficult conditions of a pandemic, uninterruptedly and safety, which is very important!
Therefore, the hard work of gas and oil industry workers has always enjoyed due respect. On the eve of the Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day of Kazakhstan, more than 708 employees of the National Operator companies group received departmental awards, medals and certificates of honor of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, NWF Samruk-Kazyna JSC, KazTransGas JSC and KAZENERGY Association. By tradition, most of the awardees are employees of production branches.
