JSC "KazTransGas" in conjunction with the Chinese national petroleum company CNPC has commissioned four new shift camps and maintenance of main gas pipeline "Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent»

The national operator JSC “KazTransGas” has commissioned four new shift camps and emergency-response centers (hereinafter SC and ERC) “Shornak”, “Karaozek”, “Aksuat” and “Saksaulsk” on the track of the main gas pipeline “Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent” (MG “BBSH”). “Saksaulsk”, “Aksuat” and “Karaozek” in Kyzylorda region and “Shornak” in Turkestan region.

Recently, a solemn presentation of shift camps and emergency-response centers “Shornak”, “Karaozek”, “Aksuat” and “Saksaulsk” was held within the framework of the joint project of the main gas pipeline “Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent”. The Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline is a strategic project aimed at providing the South and North of Kazakhstan with domestic natural gas, as well as expanding the country’s export opportunities. SC and ERC are important for safe, continuous and reliable operation of MG “BBSH” facilities, to ensure rapid response and elimination of any problems.

In total, 57 buildings and structures were built on the territory of each SC and ERC. Each shift camp is designed for 60-100 people. Autonomous power supply, water supply and heat supply provide reliable and continuous operation of facilities. Water on the SC and ERC comes from drinking water wells and existing water pipes. To provide food, canteens for 50 seats have been put into operation. There is a well-maintained administrative building for the staff. All living and working spaces are provided with stable Internet and TV. Everywhere only single rooms, which are equipped with air conditioning, refrigerator, TV and other appliances. Staff can also make use of laundry facilities for washing and processing linen. To ensure a comfortable stay and to promote physical culture and sports, as an important factor in the formation of a healthy lifestyle, basketball, badminton, table tennis equipment and a gym are provided. There is also a workshop for car repairs, as well as a fuel station.

For reference: The Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline is the largest pipeline project in the history of independent Kazakhstan and is intended to play an important role in improving the energy security of the state. Thanks to the construction of Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent, Kazakhstan managed to solve 3 important tasks – to ensure stable gas supplies to the South, to create a unified system of gas transportation of the country and to increase the export of Kazakh gas to foreign markets.
