JSC "KazTransGas" reports on the successful exploration work on the Amangeldy group of fields.

In order to expand the resource base, the national operator in the field of gas and gas supply JSC “KazTransGas” continues to carry out geological exploration at the Amangeldy group of fields.

Today KazTransGas during seismic survey work found a promising geological gas reserves on the structure of the “Western Sultankuduk”. Only according to preliminary geological calculations, these hydrocarbon reserves amount to 32.7 billion cubic meters, and recoverable reserves amount to 24.5 billion cubic meters.

Structure of Western Sultankuduk is part of the contract area studies Barhannaya-Sultankuduk by LLP “Amangeldy Gas”, located in Muyunkumsky basin in the South-Eastern part of Chu-Sarysu depression.

Further development of the Amangeldy group of gas fields will allow to increase production of natural gas and gas condensate. The discovery of a new gas field will give a powerful economic effect and will reduce gas imports to the southern regions of Kazakhstan.

KazTransGas JSC is the national operator of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply. The group of JSC “KazTransGas” includes extracting, transporting and selling gas and products of its processing enterprises and organizations.
