National gas operator built a unique wrestling complex in Almaty region.

Today JSC “KazTransGas” presented to residents of Suranshy Batyr Village of Zhambyl District, Almaty Region, a modern sport-wrestling complex. The complex has been named after famous Kazakh hero Suranshy.

The construction of a new sport facility has been carried out fully for the account of funds of the national gas operator. It is one of projects run by JSC “KazTransGas” within social responsibility of business.

The sport complex is unique and has no analogues in the region. Besides full trainings, it provides for holding republican and even international competitions.

Total area of the complex comprises 1,000 sq.m., It is equipped with modern training inventory. There are high-technology air ventilation and conditioning systems and autonomous mini boiler-house. There is also mini football field with artificial grass.

This shall be a contribution of the company to support strategic direction of state policy on extension and popularization of mass sport movement. The opening of a modern sport complex should be powerful support for young people, to make young generation follow a healthy life style, be real patriots and reliable support for out state in future.

It should be noted that JSC “KazTransGas” pays great attention to the development of Kazakhstani sport. Currently the construction of the sport complex, “Palace of Combat Sports”, is carried out in Astana. It is another social project of JSC “KazTransGas” implemented for the account of company’s own funds.

For reference: Suranshy Batyr Akynbekuly (1815–1864) is a famous Kazakh hero of Semirechye. A descendant of famous Karasay Batyr. His grandfather Daulet, great-grandfather Turkpen are famous heroes and orators of XVIII century, brave commanders, fighters of freedom and sovereignty of the Kazakh people in cruel fights with Dzhungars. Suranshy Batyr as his forefathers fought for freedom and independence of the Kazakh people. Within 1848-1860 fought with Kokandy conquerors invaded in Semirechye. In 1864-1865 participated in banishment of the Kokans from Taraz, Merke, Shu. He died heroically while fighting for freedom of Sairam in 1865.
