Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant will supply 10 thous. tons of large diameter pipes (LDP) for the 2nd stage of Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent Gas Pipeline.
Chelyabinsk. March, 27 INTERFAX – Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant OJSC (MOEX: CHEP) (ChTRP) in March-April will supply 10 thous. tons of large diameter pipes (LDP) for the construction of the second line of Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent Gas Pipeline in Kazakhstan, the press service of the Company reported.
According to the terms of the Contract, ChTRP will ship to the address of the Customer a pipe with the diameter of 1067 mm, with the wall thickness of 11.9 mm, with the external three-layer anti-corrosion coating made of the sheet of X70 strength class manufactured by Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works OJSC (MOEX: MAGN). Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent Gas Pipeline is being constructed in two phases. For the implementation of the first stage, the Chelyabinsk Tube Rolling Plant in 2012 has supplied more than 100 thous. tons of LDP. The first line of the pipeline was commissioned in 2013, the construction of the second stage is planned to be completed by 2016. The Project is being implemented by the Republic of Kazakhstan jointly with the People’s Republic of China.
