KazTransGas JSC &  Social-Entrepreneurship Corporation (SEC)  NC JSC of Saryarkahad signed the agreement on cooperation  on the project on methane  fields exploration realizationо in coalbeds of Karagandin coal field.

The Chairman of KazTransGas JSC Management Board Kairat Sharipbaev  & Chairman of Social-Entrepreneurship Corporation of Saryarka Management Board Margulan Karibekov had taken part in the ceremony of signing.
The Agreement is intended for the aggregation of the two agencies efforts aiming the exploration of methane deposits of Sherubainurinsk field coalbeds of Karagandin coal field. According to this document, geological& survey works will be performed, scientific & research & developmental works including, intended for gas bearing capacity of this territory study & the development of the most advantageous methane recovery technologies from the coalbeds of Karagandin coal field.
All geological& survey works will be performed in comply with the Project  on Methane exploration at Sherubainurinsk field coalbeds of Karagandin coal field, approved on the 23 August 2013.
Upon geological & survey works completion, anticipated by the Project on Methane exploration & required geological  data acquisition the Parties will perform all mandatory procedures for  the coalbeds methane deposits territory under Contract registering in the state Register of Republic of Kazakhstan mineral resources.
FOR INFO: The Project is realized according to plane of measures (road map) on the realization of personal instruction of the President of Republic of Kazakhstan on methane exploration & recovery from Karagandin coal field, approved on the 14.03.2014. For the execution of geological surveys  KazTransGas JSC had considered several  spots of Karagandin coal field. As of the results of analysis executed, the best studied Sherubainurinsk field had been chosen (subsoil user – SEC of Saryarka). In 2015 KazTransGas JSC will start geological& survey works (several drill wells drilling, core sampling & gas deposit resources assessment).
KazTransGas JSC continues to study international experience of coalbeds methane recovery (hereinafter – CMR). In February, current year the company personnel had visited industrial facilities of GasProm Dobytcha Kuznetsk LLC (GasProm JSC subsidiary). Memorandum on Cooperation had been signed as the result of this visit, where general principles of cooperation between the participants had been specified Visits to India & China industrial facilities, successfully realizing CMR projects are anticipated in the nearest perspective.
At the same time, KazTransGas JSC together with the Ministry of Energy & KazEnergy Association initiates legislative measures, intended for CMR exploration & recovery projects support. This sphere is the innovation in raw hydrocarbons recovery sphere, as well as one of the alternative energy carriers, which expected reserves will allow for considering it as alterative component of fuel & energy base of Republic of Kazakhstan. The study of this issue is important & in future will enhance one of the alternative source of Republic of Kazakhstan central & northern regions gasification.
