55 thousand people of Baidibek district of South Kazakhstan region will be provided with blue fuel for the first time

Today, in the district center of Baidibek district of South Kazakhstan region in the village of Shayan, the ceremony of commissioning of the gas pipeline-branch from the main gas pipeline “Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent” and the automated gas distribution station (AGDS) “Shaldar” was held.
Akim of SKR Beibut Atamkulov, General Director of JSC “KazTransGas” Kairat Sharipbayev, representatives of contractors and local residents attended the ceremony of gas start-up and lighting of a symbolic gas torch. The implementation of this project, the construction of AGDS and gas pipeline –branch to it from the main gas pipeline “Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent”, was carried out at the expense of own funds of JSC “KazTransGas”. The total length of the branch pipeline is 32 km.
General Director of “KazTransGas” Kairat Sharipbayev noted that the company pays special attention to the welfare of people. According to him, people living in rural areas should not feel deprived compared to urban residents. “As part of the implementation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev’s Address to the people of Kazakhstan,” KazTransGas” together with local Executive bodies is actively working on the gasification of the regions of the Republic and today’s event is a vivid confirmation of this. The Baidibek district gasification project is of great social and economic importance. We have fulfilled our promise and in time for the beginning of the heating season, we supply the long-awaited natural gas. Now more than 55 thousand people living in 52 settlements of this large area for the first time have the opportunity to use the most convenient fuel” – said the head of the company.
According to the technical requirements, the new AGDS has a high design capacity, which will cover the needs of not only all rural districts of Baidibek district, but also the neighboring large Suzak district with a population of more than 50 thousand people.
In the nearest plans of the company- gasification of industrial facilities and the population of the cities of Zhanatas and Karatau of Zhambyl region.
With the commissioning of the main gas pipeline “Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent”, which connected the existing gas pipelines in the country into a single internal network, it became possible to gasify more than 500 settlements located along the route of the highway. Most importantly, with the launch of the highway, Kazakhstan has completely switched to domestic gas produced in the Western regions of the country.
