Another gas well was drilled at Amangeldy field.

According to preliminary forecasts of experts, the well is able to provide blue fuel to consumers of the whole district.

Another gas well was drilled in Zhambyl region, reports Kazpravda.kz with reference to the press service of KazTransGas JSC.

“Today, from the well No. 130 of Amangeldy gas condensate field of “KazTransGas” JSC a powerful gas fountain was obtained from drilling. The well depth is 2 282 m. Located in the North-Eastern part of Amangeldy deposits”, – stated in a press release. 

Currently, the bottom-hole zone is being cleaned, and then gas-dynamic studies will be carried out in various modes to determine the optimal mode of operation of the well. “The opening of the next resource base will serve as a good help in providing consumers with their own natural gas, – the company noted. – Amangeldy gas condensate field, commissioned on 23 October 2003, has significantly reduced the shortage of gas in southern Kazakhstan. The volume of gas produced at Amangeldy field from the start of operations exceeds 3.5 billion cubic meters of gas”. On the field of Amangeldy are 28 operated wells in total. In December 2014, «Amangeldy Gas” LLP put into pilot operation the Zharkum field. Recoverable gas and condensate reserves amount to 833 million cubic meters and 26 thousand tons respectively. Planned is the drilling exploration and appraisal wells in areas of Barhannaya – Sultankuduk.
