Dear colleagues!
Since last year, our country, like the rest of the world, has been in a state of unprecedented struggle against the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 and quarantine measures have shocked the global economy. All this together has become a kind of strength test for all countries, without exception. And I shall say that Kazakhstan has met these challenges with dignity. The country’s leadership is taking decisive and prompt measures to protect the health of citizens and support the national economy.

However, it is too early to relax today. The disease did not recede. We are now making every effort and spending significant resources in order to protect employees from this infection, since our employees were, are and always will be the main value of the national company. And here the issue of vaccination comes to the fore. Today, this is the only way that will enable us to defeat the pandemic. As Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the Head of State, has repeatedly noted, there is no alternative to vaccination.

There are already positive examples in the world – in countries, in which more than half of the population is vaccinated, for example, Israel and the United Kingdom, there is a sharp decline in the incidence and mortality rate from coronavirus. On the other hand, in countries, where such vaccination coverage is not yet available, new, more deadly strains and mutations of the virus are spreading. The only way to avoid this in our country is to achieve herd immunity as soon as possible.

In this defining period for the country, I want to urge each of you to show consciousness and be actively vaccinated. For this, the state has established all necessary conditions. Everyone has a choice of Kazakhstani QazVac, Russian Sputnik-V or Chinese Hayat-Vax. The vaccine can be obtained directly at the polyclinics at the place of residence, or at the production and administrative facilities of KazMunayGas.

Almost 8 thousand of our colleagues have already been vaccinated today. I myself and the rest of the leaders of the national company also received the vaccine. I want to emphasize here that vaccinated workers have unhindered access to the fields and offices without PCR tests.

Once again, I ask all of you to show a civic stand and take care of your safety, the safety of your family, your colleagues and fellow citizens. The sooner we defeat the pandemic, the sooner we will return to normal life.

Together we will overcome any difficulties and will only become stronger!
