Today, in our festive report on the occasion of the International Women’s Day – March 8, you will see the production process, in which the main heroines will be women, who have chosen for themselves a not easy profession of gas workers.

As expected, we will start the story from the very beginning, the places, where natural gas is extracted. In Zhambyl oblast at the Amangeldinskoye field, more than 100 people keep the shift every day. Among them there are representatives of the fair sex. It so happened that basically at the field they are responsible for scientific and research work. In the modern laboratory, female employees perform analyzes, study and mark natural gas, assess its quality.

After the technical processing the natural gas is injected into the main gas pipelines, through which it reaches the compressor station at high speed. There are many such stations along its way, they are located along the main road every 150-200 kilometers. And on each station, along with men, natural gas is met by the fair sex. Let’s note, that basically gas pipelines running through steppes in the distance from settlements. The weather here is not always as clear as in photo, most often the girls have to face strong winds, heat in the summer and cold in the winter. In such “aggressive” environmental conditions, we cannot speak of comfort…

Owing to modern technologies used in KazTransGas JSC, practically the entire technical process is automated and minimizes external interference in the transportation of natural gas. However, at the same time the checking all systems, assessing the quality of work and compliance with technical requirements is performed at all stages.

After the comprehensive checking and obtained approval the blue fuel continues its journey along the main gas pipelines in real time mode. This is performed by 6-staged Thermodyne compressors of General Electric Company, which are professionally managed by women, who are gas workers.

Along with production workers, who are working in close proximity to main gas pipelines, transportation of natural gas through the territory of Kazakhstan is performed by office workers. On their shoulders there is the responsibility for financial transactions, legal assistance, personnel policy and many other issues.

The group of companies of KazTransGas JSC is not only the transportation of natural gas. Another major area of work of the National Operator is the gasification of the country’s regions.
