A MEMORANDUM ON REALIZATION OF THE PROJECT OF UTILIZATION OF ASSOCIATED PETROLEUM GAS IN AKTOBE REGION WAS SIGNED.
“KazTransGas” JSC and Akimat of Aktobe region signed a Memorandum of understanding and long-term cooperation with “CapitalGateKazakhstan” LLP on the project of utilization of associated petroleum gas of subsoil users of Aktobe region, through the construction of a complex gas treatment plant at the field “Kozhasay”. The agreement also provides for assistance to the Akimat in the implementation of the gasification plan of Aktobe region.
The signing of the document was attended by the Akim of Aktobe region Mukhambetov A. B., Deputy general director for marketing and commerce of JSC “KazTransGas” Suleymanov R. E., the representative of “CapitalGateKazakhstan” LLP Gregory Vojack.
Capital Gate Kazakhstan LLP is ready to invest the project at the expense of its own and borrowed funds, fully implementing the construction of a complex gas treatment plant with a total cost of up to $ 100 million. KazTransGas JSC undertakes to lay the gas pipeline from the installation to the existing main gas pipelines. Akimat, in turn, will assist in the provision of land plots on which the installation and the relevant gas pipelines will be located, as well as the issuance of all necessary permits for construction.
Project on utilization of associated petroleum gas in Aktobe group of fields aimed at solving environmental problems in the region through processing of raw gas flared from three subsoil users – “KazakhoilAktobe”, JSC “KaspiOilTME” and LLP “AralPetroleumCapital”. The annual volume of processed raw gas will be 300 million cubic meters. The project will increase the resource base of the National operator of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply of JSC “KazTransGas” for further gasification of the Republic, including Aktobe region.
It should be noted that of all the projects considered earlier by KazTransGas JSC for the construction of a complex gas treatment plant, the proposed one by Capital Gate Kazakhstan LLP has become the most optimal in quality, price and terms of execution. According to the Memorandum, the facility will be built within 1.5 years.
For reference: At present, the effective utilization of associated petroleum gas is an urgent problem of the entire oil and gas complex. In addition to addressing the environmental aspect, associated petroleum gases of Kazakhstan fields are of considerable interest in their chemical composition and properties. Many of them are characterized by a high content of valuable hydrocarbons and can be not only an environmentally friendly product supplied to consumer homes or production, serve as an alternative fuel for vehicles, but also be the raw material for the production of aromatic hydrocarbons, widely used in petrochemistry.
KazTransGas JSC is the national operator of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply. The group of JSC “KazTransGas” includes extracting, transporting and selling gas and products of its processing enterprises and organizations.
