ASTANA HOSTED THE SPORTS FESTIVAL OF THE GROUP OF COMPANIES KAZTRANSGAS JSC.

From 17 to 18 April, Astana hosted the Spartakiada dedicated to the 15th anniversary of KazTransGas group of companies. Four combined teams took part in the sports event.

“Unity in the team is the key to the success of the whole company. After all, sport is an important factor in the formation of a healthy lifestyle. For further effective activity we need teamwork, well-coordinated work of all teams of enterprises and branches”, General Director of JSC “KazTransGas” Kairat Sharipbayev said at the opening ceremony. “For the first time this year, we decided to hold sports competitions not by individual teams, but by regional teams, which will allow us to get to know each other, establish closer relations and establish friendly contacts,” Kairat Sharipbayev said.

Therefore, for the first time in fifteen years, not numerous teams from each division and branches of KazTransGas JSC took part in the Spartakiada games to strengthen corporate interaction, but only four teams formed from among the employees of organizations working in one region. This is the team “Astana” (JSC “KazTransGas”, central office of JSC “Intergas Central Asia”, central office of JSC “KazTransGas Aymak”, “Amangeldy Gas” LLP, “KazTransGas-Onimderi” LLP); The team “Almaty” (“Asian Gas Pipeline” LLP, “Beineu-Shymkent Gas Pipeline”, the southern branch of JSC “Intergas Central Asia”, Zhetysu production branch of JSC “KazTransGas Aymak”, LLP “KazTransGas – Almaty”), the team “Ontustyk” (JSC “ICA” and JSC “KTG Aimak” was formed from among the employees of the units stationed in the cities of Taraz, Shymkent, Kyzyl-Orda); the team “Batys” (JSC “ICA” and JSC “KTG Aimak”, formed from the employees of departments situated in the cities of Aktobe, Aktau, Atyrau, Uralsk, Kostanay).

The main purpose of the event is to promote physical culture and sports as an important factor in the formation of a healthy lifestyle among the employees of “KazTransGas” JSC, creating favorable conditions for corporate interaction of employees.

The total number of participants of the Spartakiada games was 180 people.

Within two days the competitions were held in such popular sports as hockey, mini-football, volleyball, table tennis, chess. The ‘Batys’ team became the winner in the team event by the highest amount of points scored. In the second place is the team “Astana” and the third is the team “Almaty”. The winners of the games were awarded with cups, diplomas and prizes.

Joint stock company “KazTransGas” was established in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan №173 dated February 5, 2000 in order to systematize the oil and gas industry. KazTransGas JSC is the national operator of Kazakhstan in the field of gas and gas supply. The group of JSC “KazTransGas” includes extracting, transporting and selling gas and products of its processing enterprises and organizations.
