KazTransGas has built a gas measuring station "Beineu" in Mangystau region

PRESS RELEASE

By the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Company “KazTransGas” has completed the construction of the gas measuring station “Beineu” in the Mangystau region.

The new gas measuring station “Beineu”, according to the technological scheme, is located on the zero kilometer of the main gas pipeline “Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent”. The design gas pressure at the station will be 7.4 MPa (74 kgf/cm2). The station will allow to purify the gas supplied to the installation, after which it will flow through the outlet collector to the Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent main gas pipeline.

The gas measuring station is built according to all technical requirements using the most modern technologies. Its work will make it possible to improve the accuracy of measuring gas metering, as well as gas quality indicators for monitoring and preventing the supply of substandard gas to the gas transmission system. The operation of the station minimizes the risks of reducing capacity, the emergence of conditions for the formation of hydrates, which will significantly increase the service life of the gas pipeline and reduce the cost of its repair and maintenance. This, in turn, will have a positive impact on the efficiency of the domestic gas transmission system.

According to Mukan Sadvakassov, Deputy General Director of Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent Gas Pipeline LLP, the construction of the station was carried out in a remote area of the steppe and was not easy.

“It was necessary to bring all communications to the station. But now the entire production process can take place autonomously and does not depend on external sources of electricity and water supply. We have applied the most modern technologies in the implementation of the project. This is the beginning of the Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent main gas pipeline, which is a national treasure of Kazakhstan, implemented by KazTransGas. The highway connected all previously functioning gas transportation routes into one network. This made it possible to ensure guaranteed stable supplies of natural gas from fields in Western Kazakhstan to the southern regions of the country, as well as for export to China,” Mukan Sadvakassov said.

Thanks to the operation of the Beineu-Bozoy-Shymkent gas pipeline, residents of the southern regions forgot about the gas shortage. The capital Nur-Sultan, Karaganda, Temirtau and Zhezkazgan, where active gasification is currently underway, also receive blue fuel from this gas pipeline.
