Experts assessed the success of the transformation of national companies of Kazakhstan.

The study showed that all national companies more or less cope with the optimization of their business and their transformation takes place with approximately the same dynamics, but there are also favorites.

The Kazakhstan Agency “Rating+” conducted a study to identify national companies that have most effectively optimized business in an unfavorable financial and economic situation.

The highest rating (7.1) of the expert group was received by the national gas operator JSC “KazTransGas”. Next – with a small lag – are JSC “Kazpost” (7 points), JSC “SamrukEnergo”, JSC NC “KazMunayGas», which received 6.9 points.

The most interesting conclusion reached by the experts is that national companies do not have a common understanding of “transformation” – each interprets the goals, objectives and results in its own way.

If for one company transformation is optimization of business processes, for another – reduction of expenses, for the third – training of personnel, for the fourth – a set of indicators which from the point of view of management, have the least relation to transformation.

Meanwhile, as noted in the study, JSC “Kazpost” stood out by the introduction of advanced information technologies, “SamrukEnergo” – the optimization of business processes, “KazMunayGas” – competent financial operations and getting rid of “ballast” in the conditions of falling oil prices. The decisive factor that allowed KazTransGas JSC to take a leading position in the ranking, analysts called strong strategic management.

At the same time, experts believe that the leadership of some national companies in relation to others on the basis of expert evaluation may be due to insufficient coverage of the efforts made in the direction of business transformation in a difficult situation and the inability to present the work done in this direction, and not the lack of the work itself.

“Judging by the results obtained, all companies have much to strive for in improving their work and optimizing the business,” the experts stressed.

Based on the analysis, the experts recommend national companies to exchange experience, in particular, in the form of “round tables”, to conduct scientific and practical conferences, where you can get acquainted with the opinion of leading experts with the subsequent implementation of the activities of companies.

The management of national companies is also advised to study foreign experience with its subsequent adaptation to the conditions of Kazakhstan, to extrapolate the experience of national companies to subsidiaries, as well as to try to attract a wide range of employees to the problem of transformation (optimization), making this process a kind of national.
